Long time no see

I keep having no time to blog, so setting one up was a silly idea really. This week I've been busy packing up my room, working and having fun - for once. Its been a very expensive week too. I paid my first months rent, went on a shopping spree, bought tickets to see Bob Dylan in Manchester and other bits & pieces. As per, I took pictures of just about everything that I did..so heres what I've been up to & what I've eaten/bought.

A week ago on Saturday me & Tarina went to our Emma & Alice's flat for their leaving party. It was an alright night. I was too tired to have fun but it was still good just having a drink & seeing people that I hadn't seen in a long long time. This is me and Tarina having a little break from the 'party' to take pictures, as you do.

The next night when I finished work, me and Alex had a drink then when Tarina finished we went on a drive. We ended up getting a McDonalds then Loz and Fergie pulled up and we decided we would go and find a nice field to sit in and have a fire. We found a lovely place on a lake in Ebchester. It was lush! We stayed for a couple of hours then decided to call it a night since it was freezing!

Then I went shopping with Becky, then met with Kitty & Sean in town. We went for a Pizza Hut & got a 10" pizza, unlimited salad, potato wedges and a refillable drink for £5. Such a good deal, I'm gonna do it again next time I'm wanting a meal in town.

I treat my self to too many things really, got a big load in Primark but it was mainly underwear and pj's so I'm not gonna post loads of pictures of them. I recently sold my trusty Hunter wellies on eBay though, and since English weather is so terrible I desperatly needed some more. I saw these Joules ones when I was working on that depatment at work one day. I had a £15 Fenwick voucher so I got these for just £20! They're ideal for me because they've got the adjustable bit which my Hunters didn't so I can get thick socks in now, and I think the pattern is really cute too.

I also got this nice photo frame. Since I'm moving so far away from my friends and family (and all society) I want to fill my room with photographs and nice frames for them to go in. This one was only £5. I'm not crazy on the colour but it'll certainly do!

My dads girlfriend donated this mirror to me. Its pretty much exactly the same as the one in the living room at my new house. Hoping this will go nice in my room if I can spray it white!

I'd been after this bedding for a long time so when I saw it reduced in Ikea I nearly had a fit because its really rare that they have a whole range of something on sale! Turns out they only had single or kingsize, and since my bed is a double this didn't really work for me. I still bought both anyway though because it was only £7.50 & I love it. I bought the quilt of it aswell which was a bit more expensive at £35, but it'll last me forever so I class it as a good purchase!

Couldn't help but go into HMV and purchase a load of DVD's. Got Never Say Never which was necessary since Justin Bieber is my favorite man on earth! Then I got Jackass 3 because its the funniest/sickest ever. I've already sat and watched it 3 times! Then I treat myself to a handful of £3 DVDs. Can't go wrong for that price. Walk the Line, which is amazing, Benjamin Button, which creeps me out, Pretty Woman, which I need to see the whole way through & Night at the Museum because it was £2, though I realise it has really poor ratings.

My dad has sorted out the garden so we now have a set of table and chairs with a parasol & a log burner, so most nights I'll just sit out there if its nice and I can have a smoke and its nice & peaceful.. until my brother and all his friends come around. They're all dead canny though, so it could be worse I guess. Heres Tarina and my brother getting a little too close for comfort...

Then I had Olly making me my favorite drink (cherry sourz & diet coke) in my favorite glass! The crushed ice doesn't look too appealing, but it was tasty I promise.

Then I remembered about the Face Swap App on my phone. This is my brother and his friend Ben, they look hilarious, but I guess its not that funny if you don't know what they look like normally...so yeah.

Had a big shooping spree..it was actually too big, I can't bring myself to look at my bank balance yet! I'll take you through what I got:
  • Topshop - American Flag jumper by Tea & Cake, Aztec bold print vest, black buttoned tshirt, grey AA-style hoodie, semi-precious stone ring, anchor earrings.
  • Primark - brown loafers, blue print oversized scarf, distressed denim shorts, floral pyjama playsuit.
  • River Island - gold boyfriend watch, Pretty Polly suspender tights.
Plus a few other things that aren't on the below picture, mainly just little bits & pieces of make-up, jewelly etc.

I got my first tattoo! I got it done by my friend Emma who is a really talented tattooist at Arthur T Sharpes in Heaton. I got 'Against all odds." on my forearm, just underneath my elbow crease. I'm really happy with it! The meaning behind it is that it was my mams favourite song, and I can't listen to it without thinking about her. I tend not to listen to it because it makes me so upset, but it still means a lot to me.

Tarina got a tattoo aswell. She got hearts on the back of her ankles, they're really cute but bled so so much!

Here mine is, sorry its upside down! Its still scabby and swollen at this point but you get the idea!

Here is me being a freak and talking into a banana...not too sue why this is here but it is now.

Me & Tarina got a Chinese takeaway on Saturday night and we asked for a spring roll...this is the monster that turned up! Needless to say we didn't eat it, we didn't even touch it. It looks so rotten!

& here's what I got in my fortune cookie...we'll see how true this proves to be.

And finally...packing up my room :( I'm so sad to be leaving Ryton. Everyone I know and everything I do is here! Consett is soo far away! Really hope everyone still comes to see me!

That was a long one, I'll try not to leave it so long until next time. Adios x

Cupcakes!

Going to bombard you all with a trillion more pictures from when I made cupcakes the other day. I know I said I've been too busy with work and moving out to get anything done, but I can always find time to make cupcakes! This time I made chocolate and banana ones!

They tasted pretty darn good, even if I do say so myself!

Life update;

I haven't posted in a while, I've been so busy with work and trying to get moved into my new house. I'm moving up to Consett which is quite a way out for me. Consett has quite a bad name for itself, but the place I'm living is a little village just outside of it called 'Moorside'. Its really green and most of the houses are new. My house is a semi-detatched one and the people I'm moving in with were the first people to live there. The house is so cute and is filled with lots of quirky little bits and pieces. It is absolutely beautiful. I'm moving in with my friend Kitty and her fiance Sean. I've known Kitty since I was born because our parents were best friends. I had lost contact with her for about 8 years then about a year ago a friend of mine uploaded pictures of Kitty and we got back in touch & I'm so so happy about it. Most people would find it wierd to move in with an engaged couple, but the two of them are just so sweet and lovely I have no concerns at all. Sean works night shifts anyway so it would just be me and Kitty in the house most of the time, and their adorable little pug called Maizy who I have absolutely fallen in love with! I'm due to move in in about 10 days but I'm just waiting for my pay to come through so I can buy my nice new wardrobe and bits and pieces. I want my room to be really pretty! I'm going to upload a few pictures of the house so you can get a jist of how lovely it is!

This is my bedroom. It looks really small here but its a good sized room with 2 windows for spying on the neighbours and its really light and fresh. And eventually I have a double bed! In my room I also have a chest of draws that are teal and a bit battered but they look really good, and I'm buying a big white wardrobe and a white bookcase!

This is the living room. Its a mixture of all sorts of furniture and bits and pieces but it looks so good! And we have big a big chesterfield sofa! Its amazing! Also, the S&K on the top of the bookshelf now has my R added to it, happy families!

This is the other side of the living room. I love the deer on the wall, I fancied buying it myself when I saw it in Urban Outfitters but they already have it!

Kitty is really good at bargain shopping and she picked up these two for just £15! The mirror is gorgeous and the stand is really cute. It currently holds her wedding scrapbook.

This picture has been lying in my house for about 10 years. It belonged to my grandad but my dad didn't like it so it was never put up in the house. It goes perfectly in the living room though. That's Kitty holding it up in place, its the perfect centre piece for the main wall.

Me and Tarina went up to the house yesterday to take up some of  my stuff and for a sleepover. First night over was really nice. I slept like a baby! We watched Secret Window which was a really wierd but good film, then we made some home made parmesan and sundried tomato bread rolls and had mint choc chip out of proper sundae glasses! I can tell I'm going to LOVE living there!

Sorry for the ridiculous amount of pictures, but to finish off, heres a picture of the beautiful Maizy that I spoke about. She is the happiest and cutest little pup ever!

Had a pretty good few days. Saturday I went to Durham for the day for my friends birthday. We spent all day going around the bars and then headed back to Newcastle for drinks there and to go to a night club. Newcastle wasn't as fun, but I still had a really nice day, despite all of the rain. Here is a picture of me in Gotham. I was really annoyed because I'd done my hair and make-up all nice just to get rained on so excuse the rubbish hair and eyeliner half way down my cheeks. Also, everyone should try the drink that I have in my hand. Its called 'Cherry Lips' and its made of Midori, Amaretto and cranberry juice. So amazing!

On Sunday before I went to work I had a little sieve through my mams wardrobe. I'm so glad she was such a hauder(sp?!) because whenever I want something new to wear, I can always guarentee I'll find a little gem in there. I'm just scared of the day the supply runs out! Sorry its such a rubbish picture, I took it on my phone and decided the flash covering up my face was a good call because my hair & face are minging at the moment. Someone pay for me to get my hair lightened again?

Jumper: Mams, Tights: ASOS, Shoes: Mams.

I found the two pairs of shoes in the bottom picture too. The boots will be cute in Autumn, I think. The sandals are a tiny bit too small but they'll do for the rest of Summer.

I have nothing else to report, sorry for a boring post. I'm going to make some cupcakes when I'm off work this week so keep your eyes peeled!

I really do annoy myself. After just over a year and approx. £120 spent on gradually lightening my hair, I go and dye it dark brown again because I was bored one Friday night. My hair is in much better condition now, but it goes greasy so quickly and its just boring. As soon as some money comes my way I'm going straight back to blonde and slowly growing back my middle parting! Anyway, this is one of the most recent pictures of me.

Hello, my name is Rebecca. I've just re-joined Blogger after about 2 years of neglecting my other one. I tend to stick to Tumblr, but recently I've become pretty tired of it so I thought I'd give this another shot. Expect lots of photographs of food, MK & A Olsen, cats, flowers and random pictures I've taken out & about. (Plus the occasional Justin Bieber post, but don't judge me on that!)
